Edoardo Vincenzo Savarino

Dr. Edoardo Vincenzo Savarino received his Medical and Ph.D. degrees from University of Genoa, Genoa, Italy, in 2004 and 2009, respectively. From 2004 to 2011, he completed his residency training in internal medicine and fellowship training in Gastroenterology at Department of Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology Unit, Azienda Ospedaliera-Universitaria San Martino of Genoa. In 2011, he became Assistant Professor at University of Padua.
Presently, he is a Professor of Gastroenterology. He is mainly interested in gastrointestinal motility including achalasia, acid peptic disorders including gastroesophageal reflux disease, Helicobacter Pylori, eosinophilic esophagitis, H2-breath tests, inflammatory bowel diseases and functional disorders (functional dyspepsia, irritable bowel syndrome). He received various prizes for his work from United European Gastroenterology Federation, OESO foundation, National Societies of Gastroenterology. He is also prominently involved in education of students, residents, fellows and peers at all levels.
