Post-Congress Course I: Hands-on Workshop on Minimally Invasive Therapy for Esophageal Cancer

Course overview:

In recent years, Minimally Invasive Esophagectomy (MIE) has become more advanced and established in the treatment of esophageal cancer. This means that patients get to avoid the morbidities of an open approach.  With an international faculty of experts in this field, this workshop aims to provide an introduction to the various techniques in MIE. The panel will explore advances in the surgical care of esophageal cancer, including approaches for squamous and adenocarcinoma of the esophagus. Lectures and videos will highlight the details as well as the potential pitfalls of each technique. Finally, the participants will be actively involved and guided during the animal model hands on session.
